The gel was made by
adding 20% ethanol extract of Wild Basil to a gel base containing
flavonoids, tanning substances, carbonic acids.
This gel is exclusively suitable for reviving of skin areas after
irritation, heat actions, surgeon interventions and others and for
curing acne.
The use of extracts and infusion of Wild Basil (Clinopodium
vulgare L., Fam. Lamiaceae) is known in Bulgarian folk medicine
as a means of increasing the immune protection of the organism. It
improves the metabolism, stimulates the regenerative processes in
the organism and can be applied for the treatment of renal diseases,
myomas, mastitis, etc.
The effective agent of the gel is making the skin smooth and soft
due to their regenerating and moisturizing effects.
The ethanol extract, which is the active component of ClinogelTM was tested in an authorized toxicological
laboratory with respect to its potential skin-irritating and
skin-sensitizing effect, without any evidence of an adverse effect.
The bacteriostatic action of the extract on Gram-positive and
Gram-negative microorganisms was also proved.
The phytochemical composition of the extract and of the gel was
demonstrated using the most up-to-date and reliable
chemical-analytical methods of analysis, as well as modern
chromatographic, spectrometric and other techniques. The presence of
biologically active substances was found, which also explains the
favorable regenerative effect of ClinogelTM.
Flavonoid substances, phenolic and dicarbonic acids, tannins and
fluorine were identified.
ClinogelTM by Sopharma AD has excellent cosmetic
properties. The optimum formula for a good tolerance of the
dermatological agent has been used by introducing a natural product
in the formula, in accordance with the sensitivity of the skin.
ClinogelTM is hypoallergic (the possibility of an
