OROCETAM

StockNo Product description
EB0280-410-18 OROCETAM (Piracetam/Orotic acid) AMPOULE 5 ML

COMPOSITION:
Piracetamum 100 mg and Orotic acid 50 mg in ampoules of 5 ml

ACTION:
Orocetam is a combined preparation possessing marked synergism of the two components, acting as an antihypnotic drug, enhancing protein-synthesis and increasing the resistance of the brain cells against intoxication. Piracetam stimulates macroergic compounds synthesis, activates bioenergic processes in the mitochondria and improves local brain circulation. The orotic acid is a precursor for the pyrimidine bases synthesis, thus taking part in the building of the nucleic acids and activating the anabolic, detoxic and regenerative functions.

INDICATIONS:
Orocetam is indicated for treatment of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the nervous system, severe brain damage (cranial trauma in the acute phase, comatose conditions, acute psychic disorders due to intoxication), acute and chronic alcohol intoxication, cerebrovascular accident, and other chronic intoxications.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Cirrhosis of the liver with ascites, jaundice, and grave renal damage.

SIDE EFFECTS:
Allergic dermatitis may be observed. Rarely, sleep disorders are reported.

PRECAUTIONS:
In cases of liver and renal insufficiency, the residual nitrogen and the creatinine level must be controlled.

DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Rarely, the effect of the tranquilizers (hyperkinesis) and the oral anticoagulants may be potentiated.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
One or three ampoules, 2 to 3 times daily, depending on the gravity of the disease, applied intramuscularly, intravenously or as infusion.

MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Ampoules of 5 ml, in packs of 50.

STORAGE:
At room temperature (15-30 C).

EXPIRY:
3 (three) years.
