- COMPOSITION:
Retinol palmitate (Vitamin A) - 500 IU
Thiamine hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) - 2 mg
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) - 2 mg
Pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) - 1 mg
Cyancobalamine (Vitamin B12) - 2 mg
Nicotinamine - 12.5 mg
Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) - 50 mg
Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) - 1000 IU
Tocopherol acelate (Vitamin E) - 2 mg
ACTION:
Multivitasol is a polyvitamin preparation for complex prophylaxis
and treatment of hypo- and avitaminosis, convalescent conditions,
disturbances of growth and development.
Vitamin A helps the building and the development of the epithelial
cells of skin and mucosa, enhances their resistance towards
physical, chemical and bacterial damage, facilitates the growth of
the young organism.
Vitamin B1 plays an important role in metabolic processes and
neuro-reflex regulation of the organism, improving the carbohydrate
metabolism.
Vitamin B2 participates in the processes of metabolism of
carbohydrates, proteins and fats. It plays an important role in
supporting the normal function of the eyes and the hemoglobin
synthesis.
Vitamin B6 has a definite role in metabolism of various substances
and histamine. It is necessary for the normal functioning of the
central and peripheral nervous systems.
Vitamin B12 stimulates the growth of young organisms,
erythropoiesis, leucocytopoiesis and thrombocytopoiesis. It
facilitates the regenerative processes, and has a favourable effect
on the CNS and liver functions.
Vitamin PP improves the blood supply to the brain, skin and nervous
system, with a protective action on the hepatic parenhyma.
Vitamin C participates in the regulation of the oxidation processes,
carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulation, tissue regeneration,
production of steroid hormones and collages synthesis.
Vitamin D3 increases and regulates the resorption of calcium and
phosphorus in the digestive tract, facilitating their deposition in
bones and teeth.
Vitamin E, being a biological antioxidant, prevents the different
substances from oxidation. It participates in the regulation of
important hormonal functions. |
INDICATIONS:
Exhaustion after excessive physical and mental exertion, during
infectious diseases and for improvement of the general health state.
The preparation is applied prophylactically in rachitis and
disturbed metabolism. Delay of growth and tooth cutting, and loss of
appetite in childhood. During pregnancy and lactation for covering
of the increased need of vitamins.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Not established.
PRECAUTIONS:
Due to the presence of vitamins A and D, the dose applied should be
carefully calculated if it is to be combined with other preparations
containing vitamins. The preparation should be applied cautiously
during the first 3 months of pregnancy.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Allergy to some of the vitamins contained in the preparations.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Children:
- from 1 month to 1 year - 1/2 teaspoonful daily;
- from 1 to 3 years - 1/2 teaspoonful, 2 times daily.
- from 3 to 5 years - 1/2 teaspoonful, 2 times daily;
- from 5 to 10 years - 1 teaspoonful, 2 times daily;
- from 10 to 14 years - 1 teaspoonful, 3 times daily.
Adults: 1 teaspoonful, 4 times daily.
MEDICINAL FORM AND PACKAGE:
Syrup in bottles of 125 ml.
STORAGE:
At temperature not higher than 30° C in a place protected from
light.
EXPIRY:
2 (two) years.
