Properties and Usage information
The information as published here regarding use and application of essential
oils represents common knowledge and/or traditional use in folk medicine. It is
not intended to be practiced or suggested for use without the guidance of a

Dill herb, Lavender, Salvia, Sumac, White Milfoil, Chamomile,
Melissa, Thyme, Fennel, Juniper, Hyssop
Bergamot oil
Excellent antiseptic with wide application in the therapy of infections, flu,
cold, cough, sore throat, tonsils. It is used for compress application in wounds,
cuts and burns. Gives good results in mixtures in acne, skin peeling, furuncles.
Possesses relieving properties in stress, high emotions, conditions of
depression and melancholy.
Limitations: Do not place on the skin prior to exposing the skin to sunrays or
UV rays.
Pine oil
Possesses good antiseptic properties in infections of respiratory tract and
sinuses. Has tonic and refreshing effect in mental overloading. Increases body's
resistance powers.
Limitations: Do not use old oil.
Basil oil
Regulates digestion (means for against vomiting) and is used in colitis.
Possesses refreshing properties. The oil is excellent means for pain relief
especially in pains on nerve basis, migraines, rheumatism, arthritis, muscle
pains and gout. It is recommended in conditions of fear and restlessness, in
depressions, hysteria, and sleeplessness. As an antiseptic the oil is used in
mixtures in cold, flu, inflammation of the sinuses. Relieves the consequences in
wasps bites.
Limitations: none
White Milfoil oil
Pronounced pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. Used in rheumatism
and arthritis, gastric disturbances, blood circulation problems. The oil has
heating properties. Strengthens the immune system.
Limitations: Do not use during the first months of pregnancy.
Geranium oil
Antibacterial and antiviral properties, regulates blood circulation and body's
fluid balance and is used in mixtures in treatment of cellulites, blood
circulation and menstrual cycle disturbances. Provides relief in diabetes;
reduces mental pressure; used in depressions, neuralgias, fear, sexual
disturbances; calms emotional swings. As an antiseptic is used in cold, flu,
cough, skin inflammations, acne, eczemas, rashes, dandruff. Also used against
lice.
Limitations: Do not use in children under 6 years of age. Stimulates
estrogen production. Do not use in combination with contraceptive means.
Garden tea oil
Antiseptic and anti-inflammatory action in treatment of the mouth. Used in
rheumatic conditions, muscle aches and stress, as means in inflammatory
conditions of the skin.
Limitations: None.
Eucalyptus oil
Possesses antibacterial and antiviral properties. Used in mixtures for treatment
of infections of the upper respiratory tract, coughs, bronchitis, inflamed
sinuses, flu as well as in skin inflammations. Anti-inflammatory and
pain-relieving properties in arthritis and rheumatism, as well as for massage of
stressed muscles. Effective means in lice. Strengthening of the immune system.
Limitations: Do not use more than two drops in one treatment. Do not use
in combination with homeopathic means.
Ylang Ylang oil
One of the most sensitive oils. Used as an aphrodisiac. Relief in stress,
palpitation, increased blood pressure. Good antiseptic in acne.
Cedar oil
Promotes better lymphatic circulation and fluid retention. Helps with kidney
stones dissolution. Has healing effect in acne and infections of the skin and
scalp.
Limitations: Not to be used by pregnant women and babies.
Dill herb oil
Pronounced pain relieving effect in treatment of digestive tract conditions,
colic, upset stomach. Lowers blood pressure.
Limitations: None.
Coriander oil
Antiseptic and calming action, reduces tiredness and the feeling of nervousness.
Used in the therapies of rheumatism, arthritis, flu, cold and food poisoning.
Limitations: None.
Lavender oil
Antiseptic means, accelerates wounds healing processes, burns and skin
inflammations. Effective in insect bites, sun burns, acne, eczemas, skin
inflammations, dermatitis, dandruff, hair loss, fungi, lichen, lice. Reduces
arterial pressure and prevents fluid retention in the body. Regulates gastritis
disturbances, gas retention in the intestines, used in nausea. Included in
mixtures for use in flu, cold, throat inflammations, asthma. Relives rheumatic
pains, migraine, ear canal inflammations, menstrual pains as well as regulating
the cycle. The oil has calming and anti-depression properties, reduces tension
in mental exhaustion, excitement, tachycardia, sleeplessness. Also, having
soporific and strengthening of the body properties.
Limitations: Do not use in the first months of pregnancy, and
especially after abortion.
Chamomile oil
Excellent means in poor digestion, spastic conditions of the stomach and liver.
Beneficial in burns, eczema, psoriasis, infected skin. Suitable for use by
children.
Lemon oil
Antiseptic properties. Used in throat infections, flu, cold, skin infections,
rashes, acne, seborrhea. Reduces blood pressure. Anti-diarrheal action. Used in
mixtures in rheumatism, arthritis, and varicose veins. Calming action, relief in
conditions of fear and mental overloading. Possesses refreshing and stimulating
action.
Limitations: In preparations for skin application, before exposure to the
sun and to UV rays.
Storage: Tightly closed and refrigerated
Tangerine oil
Antiseptic, calming and tonic properties. Good means to get asleep, reduces
nervous tension, relief in fear condition, excitement, tachycardia, reduces
arterial pressure. Used in nausea, constipation, digestive tract conditions.
Limitations: In preparations for skin application, before exposure to sun
and UV rays.
Common balm (Melissa) oil
Relief in menopausal problems, sleeplessness caused by nervous tension. Used in
viruses of flu and herpes.
Limitations: Not used in sensitive and damaged skin as well as in children
under 2 years of age.
Thyme oil
Excellent antiseptic and helps with the closure of wounds. Excellent results in
infections of the respiratory tract. Has pain relieving properties in rheumatism
and arthritis. The oil possesses relieving action in menstrual disturbances and
skin diseases. Stimulates blood circulation and increases arterial pressure.
Regulates the level of the fatty acids. Limits hair loss. Increases body's
resistance against infections.
Limitations: Do not use in high blood pressure.
Mentha oil
Refreshing, antiseptic and pain relieving properties. Use in excess gases in the
intestines, poor digestion, stomach aches, and sea sickness. As a strong
antiseptic in colds, flu, sinus inflammations, coughs, bronchitis, fever, skin
inflammations and irritability. Relieves headache, migraines and menstrual
pains. Effective means against insects. Has tonic action in mental
exhaustion and relaxing action in nervous tension. Increases body's resistance
powers.
Limitations: Do not use in the first months of pregnancy.
Patchouli oil
Relaxing, reviving and anti-depression action. Reduces appetite and is good for
starting a diet. Strong anti-inflammatory action. Cell regenerative properties -
included in mixtures for dry, rough and ageing skin, in skin marks, eczema,
herpes, insect bites.
Petitgrain oil
Obtained from the leaves of Orange tree. Refreshing, tonic and antiseptic
action. Used in depression, fear and sleeplessness. As an antiseptic in acne and
fungi.
Limitations: None.
Orange oil
Antiseptic and strongly pronounced calming action. Excellent results in all
types of depressions, fear conditions, nervous tension, spasms, muscle cramps,
convulsions.
Limitations: In preparations for skin application, before exposure to the
sun and UV rays.
Storage: Tightly closed container, refrigerated.
Fennel oil
In mixtures for treatment of conditions of the digestive tract, poor digestion,
pains, colic, poisoning, hiccupping, vomiting. Strong diuretic means, and for
this reason used in treatment of cellulites and obesity (fluid retention).
Influences the hormonal system and is used in problems in menopause. Good
aphrodisiac.
Limitations: Do not use in the first months of pregnancy.
Rosemary oil
Excellent tonic means, aphrodisiac, antiseptic and pain reliever. Used in
tiredness, age sufferings, sexual indifference, memory disturbances, apathy,
epilepsy, palsy, cardiac conditions, variations in arterial pressure, fluid
retention, cellulites and varicose veins. As a pain relieving means in headache,
migraines, rheumatic, arthritic and muscle pains, spinal and stomach pains.
Regulates menstrual cycle. As an antiseptic in infections of the respiratory
tract, cough, bronchitis, dandruff, baldness, wounds. Strengthens the immune
system.
Limitations: Do not use during pregnancy and in children under 6 years of
age.
Salvia Sclarea oil
Important element in mixtures with tonic and calming the nervous tension
purposes. Reduces arterial pressure, regulates menstrual cycle, and has pain
relieving properties. Used in skin irritations, decelerates skin ageing, reduces
hair loss. Strengthens the immune system.
Limitations: Do not use during pregnancy.
Sandalwood oil
Relief in sleeplessness from emotional stress. Good influence on hemorrhoids,
varicose veins, ulcers. Anti-inflammatory action in neuralgias, sciatica,
lumbago. Lubricating means in dry and sensitive skin and in rashes.
Juniper berry oil
Antibacterial and anti-fungal means in treatment of acne, oily skin and
dandruff. Reduces arterial pressure and regulates fluid balance in the body. It
is used with success in cellulites, varicose veins, and obesity. Anti-diarrhea
action. Reduces and even removes stretch marks. Used in menstrual pains,
irregular menstruation, rheumatism and arthritis. Relieving effect in colic.
Limitations: Do not use in children under 12 years of age and during
pregnancy.
Hyssop oil
Used in diseases of the upper respiratory tracts, rheumatism, viral infections, cuts
and wounds. Regulates the arterial pressure and blood circulation. Gives good
results in broken bones and bruises. Relieves nervous tension, has tonic and
re-energizing action. Strengthens the immune system.
Limitations: Do not use in the first months of pregnancy.
Citronella oil
Strong antiseptic. Exceptionally suitable for skin inflammations. Used in
deodorizing mixtures. Has tonic action and stimulates in mental disturbances
caused by stress. Good insecticide action.
Limitations: None.
Tea Tree oil
For overcoming of depression and tiredness. Immune system stimulating properties,
cardiac tonic action. Used in infections: intestinal, genito-urinary,
respiratory, acne, furuncles, warts, herpes.
