MASSAGE
The most effective manner for penetration of the essential oils in the body.
Solution is prepared immediately prior of use. For a full body massage are used
approximately 15 ml mixture of a carrier oil where 7 to 8 drops of essential oil
is added.
BATH MIXTURE
Three-four drops of selected essential oils are added to 1 - 2 tea spoons of
carrier oil. The mixture is poured into the bathtub filled with warm water and
lightly is stirred. Some 10 to 20 minutes of bathing are sufficient. For lasting
effect after the bath the body is not washed with soap.
- Refreshing mixture: Rosemary and Bergamot oils
- Energizing mixture: Thyme and Lavender oils
- Mixture for muscle aches: Rosemary and Hyssop oils
- Irritated throat mixture: Lavender and Thyme oils
- For good sleep: Lavender and Tangerine oils
FOOT BATHS
Three-four drops of mixture of essential oils is added in the vessel filled
with warm water. Sea salts could be used as well. Rosemary, Hyssop and
Eucalyptus are most often used.
INHALATION
A bowl with boiling water is used where several drops of essential oil are
added. The vapors are inhaled for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cold and flu mixture during the day: Eucalyptus and Thyme oils
- Cold and flu mixture for night time: Mint and Lavender
- Sinusitis mixtures: Thyme and Lavender mixture
- Sinusitis mixtures: Eucalyptus, White Pine and Lavender mixture
EVAPORATING LAMP
Special evaporating lamp with oil containing bowl is used. Water is added and
mixed with 5 - 6 drops of essential oils. The heating candle is lit to
evaporates the mixture.
- Relaxation mixture: Lavender and Petitgrain oils
- Mixture against insects: Lavender and Basil oils
- Refreshing mixture: Geranium and Lavender oils
COMPRESSES
In headache, migraine, sprains are used cold compresses. In a bowl with water
and ice cubes are added several drops of essential oils diluted in carrier oils.
A clean towel is dipped in the mix, wrung out and then ready to place on the
desired place.
Use warm compresses in muscle and menstrual pains. The water should be heated
to a comfortable level. After the compress is applied a towel should be used to
keep the place warm.
LIMITATIONS AND WARNINGS
- Never apply essential oils directly on the skin, but mixed with carrier
oils
- Before use familiarize yourself with the procedure and applicable oils
- Be very careful with the choice of essential oils during pregnancy, in
epilepsy, high blood pressure and asthma
STORAGE
- In well closed glass bottles
- Do not expose to direct sun light
- Use only one year after the initial opening of the container
